HELLO ... ...HELLO... ...ALRIGHT

As I was strolling lazily inside SWU Campus this afternoon at Urgello, Cebu, I happened to come near a mini-Zoo where exotic birds were put in a cage. There were parrots, falcon and other colorful imported birds.
I tried to get near the cage to look the birds closely when this white parrot (Coccatto) flew near me. It look huge and healthy. It positioned it self in front of me and stared at me with interest. I knew it was lonely. I was thinking it was trying to beg me for some food.
Suddenly the bird said "Hello... hello... alright" in a very clear and understable words. What strucked me was not just the words it spoke, but the eye contact and sincerity of its tone as it uttered those words. Then it repeated speaking the same words as it looked at me. I was touched. This bird was trying to communicate with me. Maybe the bird didn't understand the word "Hello" and "Alright" but it sure sounds sincere.
After a few second of realization, I said : "Hello too!" And "How are you?" And it responded : "Hello... hello... alright". Our 'conversation' may be static and senseless knowing the bird simply mimicked those words, but I felt good about it.
That bird taught me a lesson today. Sometimes, sincerety and eagerness to communicate with someone is what really matters. That bird may have learned two words only, but its eagerness to communicate and please me was unmistakable.
Friends, you can also say "Hello... ...hello... ...alright" to someone dear but lonely out there today. Do it sincerely, I'm sure you'll make someone feel better, just like what this innocent bird did to me.
